About the book: Albion is the ancient name for the British Isles and conjures up great stories of legendary figures and mythical beasts. Great fire breathing dragons fly into these stories, and tales of King Arthur and his knights abound. It also has a deep and rich history, and the standing stones of its moors and the hallowed groves of druids still fascinate us. The sacred nature of these lands are abundant and there are primeval memories of bears and giant deer that once roamed its dense woodlands. A trace is left of these ancient trees in the majesty of kingly oaks and eternal yews.
Twenty seven full page stunning ink drawings of dragons, druids, gods, saints, running hares, and many more, adorn this publication, and each one is accompanied by a fascinating description. This book also has an extensive introduction where visionary states of creativity, imagination, physical and psychological pilgrimages, and the history and mythologies of Albion are discussed. There is also an in depth look at drawing techniques, both practical and visionary, which are shown with illustrations of the creative process. Amongst all these, are magical stories and poems that embellish the book too
